When Sarah first discovered Barre she realised that she could use it as a form of exercise to give her the same results she used to get from her professional dance training. Sarah has been dancing for 26 years, starting out at Bailey Cox Dance Academy in Sheffield and then onto London where she began her dance career training at the prestigious London Studio Centre. Sarah worked as a professional dancer in London for two years but decided that she wanted to use her degree to help others pursue their passion for dance and fitness. Sarah subsequently trained at The Royal Academy of Dance in Battersea and completed her PGCE in Dance teaching as an 'Outstanding'teacher. Sarah ran her own Dance department and taught the GCSE, BTEC and A-level Dance curriculum in London for several years before moving back to her hometown of Sheffield to live and start a family. Sarah had been doing Barre classes for years in London and found that it gave her the same results (both emotional and physical) that she got from her dance training; long lean muscles, tone and a real sense of happiness and well-being that movement to music brings. Sarah couldn't find a barre class in Sheffield so she decided to train as a BarreConcept Instructor to bring Barre to the lovely people of Sheffield.
